What happens — step by step
Every action triggers the next one automatically. This is the complete sequence from first impression to closed client.
01
Visitor clicks your ad or content link
Traffic arrives from three sources: Meta Ads (paid), Facebook group posts or DMs (organic), or YouTube video description links (content). The moment the page loads, GTM fires a PageView event which the Meta Pixel sends to Meta’s servers. Even if the visitor never opts in, this PageView signal builds your retargeting audiences for future campaigns.

Visitor lands on the WordPress funnel page
The landing page is a full-width WordPress page with no navigation, no header, no sidebar. Nothing competes for attention. The Wistia VSL plays immediately — no ads, no suggested videos, no way out. Below the video is the Mautic opt-in form. The page has one goal: get the visitor to submit their email. The moment they do, the nurture system activates.

Tracking fires on two parallel channels simultaneously
When the visitor converts — submits a lead form (service business), completes a purchase on WooCommerce (eCommerce), or lands on the Calendly confirmation page (call-based business) — GTM fires the conversion event. The browser Pixel sends Signal 1 from the visitor’s device. Stape sends Signal 2 directly from your server to Meta’s API, bypassing iOS 14 blocks and ad blockers entirely. Both signals carry the same unique ID — Meta deduplicates them and counts exactly one conversion.

Lead enters Mautic — automation starts immediately
When the form is submitted, Mautic creates a contact instantly and the 7-email welcome sequence starts — first email within 60 seconds. Lead scoring begins: every email open, link click, and page visit raises the score. When the score hits the threshold, a hot lead alert fires to your inbox so you reach out at exactly the right moment. Separately, leads who need deeper assessment are sent to YouForm — a longer qualification survey that saves all responses directly to an Excel sheet for pre-call review.

Lead books a call — automation fires instantly
The Calendly booking link appears in the email sequence and on the landing page. When the lead books a slot, Calendly redirects them to the /call-confirmed page — GTM fires a Contact event which Stape sends to Meta via CAPI. Calendly’s native webhook fires directly to Mautic applying the tag discovery_call_booked, updating the Call Date field, and triggering the pre-call sequence: booking confirmation, prep instructions, and a 24-hour reminder. No third-party bridge needed.

Data loop closes — Meta gets smarter every cycle
After the call you apply one outcome tag in Mautic — client_won, proposal_sent, not_ready, no_show, or not_a_fit. Each routes the contact into a different automation path automatically. Meanwhile, every verified conversion sent via browser Pixel and Stape CAPI has been teaching Meta who your real buyers are. Over 7–14 days the algorithm recalibrates. Lookalike audiences rebuild from complete data. CPL drops 15–41% without touching the ads. Each cycle the system performs better than the last.
